The 2012 Jimmy Stewart Festival took place on Saturday, June 9th, and Sunday, June 10th. The event took place in two areas: Downtown Indiana on Philadelphia Street near the Jimmy Stewart Museum and at the Jimmy Stewart Airport.
The festivities kicked off at 10am on Saturday and Sunday in town. Activities included visiting the Jimmy Stewart Museum, a book signing on Saturday and the viewing of films at the Museum on both days.
In town, there were over 25 craft & food vendors, Master Magician Michaelangelo and Cathleen Siefert conducting face painting.
"Jimmy Stewart" also stopped by the festival to say "Hello"!
There was a car display courtesy of The Punxsutawney Region Antique Automobile Club of America on Saturday and an Emergency Vehicle Display on Sunday.
Even in town, spectators could see views overhead of the happenings out at the airport.

Performances on stage on Saturday included: Cindy and Cody (Classic Acoustic), Melanie Valenza (Acoustic Solo), Essential Machine (Originals, Classics), Gabe Wolford, The Brothers Quinn, Mark and Sean (Acoustic Classic Rock), Lantern (Christian, Original Rock), Simple Pleasures and 7 Mile Run (Country).
Performances on stage on Sunday included: Pony Express (Blues, Classic Rock), Keystone Heirs (Contemporary, Gospel), Rising Sun (Old Time Classic Country), Andrew Mack (Acoustic, Country), Caleb Murphy (Acoustic, Indi), Matt Van Horn and Friends, Anthony Frazier and Friends Worship and Praise, Jeff Perigo (Acoustic Rock), Alibi for Sunday (Classic, Ballads), Cathleen and G (Acoustic Originals).
Spectators could take a complimentary ride on a trolley between the two locations courtesy of the Tourist Bureau.
At the Jimmy Stewart Airport, activities included the appearances of: The Commemorative Air Force Curtiss-Wright - SB2C Helldiver, WWII Re-enactors, West Penn Allegheny Health System LifeFlight®,
The Center for Emergency Medicine of Western Pennsylvania STATMedEvac®, Pennsylvania State Police Aviation Unit and United States Air Force C-130 Flyover.
Additional activities for the entire family included a CAP Pancake Breakfast each day, a WWII Big Band Era Hangar Dance on Saturday night, PT-17 Stearman Flights, EAA Young Eagle Flights, Lease Aviation Flights, Airport Tours & Hayrides, Food, Fun, and more!!
